Source: Grain plan accounts for sanctions against Russia
ISTANBUL, Jul 13 (PRIME) -- Sanctions on Russia's banking and insurance transactions are taken into account during grain negotiations between Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the U.N. in Istanbul on Wednesday, a diplomatic source told PRIME.
"The Russian side demands that the obstacles to exports of goods from Russia shall be removed. The issue cannot be bypassed,” the source said.
“There are insurance, logistics, transit services and banking transactions obstacles for Russia because of sanctions. These issues have been taken into account, and striking a deal which will meet the interests of all sides is important."
According to the source, there is a high probability that consensus will be reached at the meeting, because the plan offered by the U.N. to establish a corridor is realistic.
